One of the scariest topics when it comes to the field of photography is lighting. But, I didn’t come here to share a scary campfire story. Lighting is like the monster under the bed when you were growing up. Deep down inside, you know nothing is there but you are still unsure so you hide under the covers until morning. Most of the time when photographers are afraid of lighting they will often use phrases like “I am only a natural light photographer” or “I only have sessions at golden hour.” We have all been there and even to this day, some sessions I still only photograph close to sunrise or sunset. But the rest of the day, I am photographing in my studio, some with natural light and some with off camera flash. Continue Reading
{"id":1276,"date":"2015-06-05T15:56:25","date_gmt":"2015-06-05T15:56:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.artsycouture.com\/?p=1276"},"modified":"2016-10-17T15:43:13","modified_gmt":"2016-10-17T15:43:13","slug":"dont-be-afraid-of-lighting-3-easy-lighting-patterns-every-photographer-should-know","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.artsycouture.com\/blog\/3-easy-lighting-patterns-every-photographer-should-know","title":{"rendered":"Don’t Be Afraid of Lighting. 3 Easy Lighting Patterns Every Photographer Should Know."},"content":{"rendered":"
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1280 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artsycouture.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/header.jpg\" alt=\"header\" width=\"799\" height=\"466\" srcset=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/artsy-cdn\/static\/assets\/img\/wordpress-artifacts\/2015\/06\/17153405\/header.jpg 799w, https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/artsy-cdn\/static\/assets\/img\/wordpress-artifacts\/2015\/06\/17153405\/header-300x175.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 799px) 100vw, 799px\" \/><\/p>\n
One of the scariest topics when it comes to the field of photography is lighting.
